Suggested Offerings: Fancy doggie biscuits, a white vigil candle, Evian water (St. Guinefort is French after all), table scraps, anything but chocolate. Prasad is suggested. You can share the fresh water with your house pets and/or leave out some water and treats for neighborhood pets/nature spirits.
I couldn’t find a prayer to St. Guinefort, so I wrote one.
Prayer to St. Guinefort
St. Guinefort was a good
doggie who lived near Lyons
in France
When his master left to
go hunting,
St. Guinefort protected
his master’s child from
a snake by killing the
bad snake
When his master returned
and saw St. Guinefort
covered in blood and
did not see his child,
he killed poor St. Guinefort
The master then saw his child
and the dead snake
Feeling terrible that he killed
his best and most trusted friend,
He buried St. Guinefort with all
the honors a doggie saint deserves
Many people visit St. Guinefort’s shrine
to ask for protection of their children
and bring flowers and treats
because you can’t keep a good doggie down.

Where can I get a St Guinefort candle like that?
My wife and I own a greyhound and love the sad story.
