So, my Facebook friends have bought four whole books from me. Can we make it a cool ten pre-sales together do you think? My editor will obviously be completely impressed and will be like, Zomg! You should go to Pantheacon because you are so super popular! We’ll pay! And then my publisher will be thrilled because I’m obviously destined for the New York Times Best Sellers list, because ten pre-sales and they’ll offer me another book deal that I’m in no way prepared to follow through with and you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped restart the cycle of crippling anxiety/feralness/antisocialness/desperate need for approval/smothering doubt.
