Spare Oom has been through a few versions. First, as an actual spare bedroom. Then, as an office. Then, as a ritual space. We eventually came to the conclusion that it needs to function as a ritual space but also a place where we can write/study and store craft supplies.
I knew I wanted to change the faux finish nightmare we had and I knew that Jow and I loved the aesthetic of the McKittrick so I took some time to consider how to re-Tetris the room to be functional for what we needed. It took about a month to actually implement and it was a super stressful month because it was really hard to do things for craft shows and to ship sold orders, it made the rest of the house look like a Hoarder situation (more stress) and it was really hard to manage in such a small space. But it was really worth the work and stress. Now there’s a book nook space for Jow to cocoon into, we had “In Omnia Paratus” done over the doorway in medieval gold lettering and it’s a gorgeous green. We both really love it! <3

I really like the green.
It looks like a much more suitable space now. I get a feeling of calm focus from your “After” pictures. : )

It looks amazing, just utterly amazing. The white accents make it seem so much bigger, and that beautiful green… I just thinking of you two sipping absinthe as you talk to gods and do your work. It’s a magical space. (In a way that doesn’t feel hokey.)
