We (Deb, Jow and Max II – our cat of many toes) hope that this Valentine’s Day finds you surrounded by the love you deserve from yourself and the world around you. While many are quick to dismiss Valentine’s Day as a (Chauer era) “Hallmark Holiday”, we encourage you to consider performing small acts of kindness for yourself and for those you love. I think back on Valentine’s Days with Jow and most of them found us working double shifts, attending class, putting out tax season fires and not often even having the evening together. While this year is no different, we did make plans for Friday together. Still, what I remember most is the year that Jow woke up even earlier than me before I worked a double to shovel out my car for me and holding my mittened hand in his, carefully leading me to my car so I wouldn’t slip and fall. It wasn’t an expensive dinner (we prefer happy hour at the bar anyway) or diiiiiiiiiamonds, but it was even more special for me that morning after a week of doubles to not have to dig out my car at 6am before that lazy sun even woke up.
In case everyone is too busy today to tell you, I will:
I love you and you’re beautiful and you deserve love.
An ocean of love and kisses,
Deb & Jow & Max II
Every year, we take a fun (mostly PVC-less) trip down memory lane to find the perfect New Wave song to bring you all the love and good vibes that you deserve. Usually we’re all about that rose, but this year we’re about the second important part of Valentine’s Day . . .
Friday I’m In Love
Exceptionally Limited. Only available until Friday, February 15th.
Dressed up to the eyes
It’s a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It’s such a gorgeous sight
To see you in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
I’m in love
– “Friday I’m In Love”, The Cure
Scent notes: Lovely dark chocolate with hints of rich caramel and decadent Tahitian vanilla extract.
